High Efficiency Chillers

 
 Klima-Therm has introduced a new range of Rhoss high efficiency air-cooled chillers based on the Turbocor magnetic levitating compressor, available in both HFO and HFC refrigerant options.

 The TurboPOWER range, available on short-lead time of six weeks, covers capacities from 300 to 1100 kW on HFC R134a, and an eco-version on HFO 1234ze refrigerant in capacities from 323.2 to 948.6 kW.

The chillers are equipped with up to three oil-less Turbocor compressors, and based on one or two cooling circuits, depending on size. A new Rhoss Integrated Sequencer (RIS) enables up to four chillers to be multi-plexed, giving overarching intelligent control, optimising performance and minimising energy consumption.

TurboPOWER chillers can be equipped with an innovative inverter-controlled pump which allows systems to be set up with variable primary flow, simplifying commissioning and further reducing energy costs.

HFC refrigerant models have ESEERs of up to 5.63, putting them above Eurovent Class A for energy efficiency, while HFO options perform even better, with ESEERs of up to 5.66.

Energy performance is assisted by the use of micro-channel heat exchangers on the air-side, which also enable refrigerant charge to be reduced by 30% compared with conventional heat exchangers.
