- Large Compressors
- Unsafe Access
- Delayed Road Closures
Sometimes even our highly trained Specialist Lifting Teams cannot
remove a compressor from site safely or, more commonly in the centres
of large cities, the waiting time for a road closure to allow the
use of a crane is unacceptably long.
In such circumstances we are still able to provide a solution and
offer a full on-site rebuild. It is a false claim that a compressor
can be "fully remanufactured" on site and one we would
never wish to make. The complex processes we use to ensure a full
remanufacture are only really available at our Wimbledon facility
and certainly not transportable to site!
Having said that, we make every effort to ensure the maximum possible
work can be done and back this up with a 12 month warranty. All
compressors are fully stripped on site and worn, damaged and defective
parts replaced.
Prior to re-assembly, all parts are meticulously cleaned either
on site or, if special cleaning fluids/processes are necessary,
at our Wimbledon facility. If required, the crankshaft is removed
to Wimbledon for polishing/grinding.
Finally, new gaskets and seals are used during the re-assembly process
and we will pressure test the finished compressor on site to demonstrate
that it does not leak.
